Why was the project needed?

Retirement Funds have to communicate with their members continuously. These messages usually include a number of difficult and often boring concepts. In an attempt to convey some of the more difficult concepts, face-to-face communication is often the best option.

The brief

The Trustees of the Retirement Funds requested that inSite create a campaign (message and artwork for different collateral) clarifying the essentials of participation in the Funds to their members, so that they make the right decisions at the right times, for all the years to come. By means of this campaign, they aimed to see their members fully equipped and comfortable in terms of all the critical retirement fundamentals.

The solution

inSite brainstormed and decided on using a message that members could relate to, which was based on a show on television that was a conversation topic at the time and very popular: The Amazing Race: Planning your journey to financial peace of mind.

We wanted members to view their retirement planning as a long-distance endurance ‘marathon;. We wanted it to be fun, accessible and not intimidating. We wrote easy content with no jargon and used creative graphics that fit the theme.
